Micro Tech
The Quality Inspector performs visual and dimensional inspections on machined components.
Using various handheld and benchtop measurement equipment this position ensures the compliance to both internal and customer dimensional requirements.
Essential Functions:
Performs In-Process and Final inspection on machined parts (Dimensional & Visual)Measures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specificationsAbility to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other customer and industry specificationsUnderstands geometric symbols and tolerancesUse of standard measurement gages such as calipers, micrometer, drop indicators, etc.
Discusses inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommends corrective actionsNotifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems, and assists in identifying and correcting these problemsVerify raw material lot number traceabilityMaintain well organized work spaceUnderstand verbal and written instructionFlexibility based on changing production/shipment demandsExecute other duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Technical School is preferred.
One (1) year of related experience.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, ERP Systems, Document Control and other databases.
Able to learn additional programs as needed.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints).
