3-4 with 2 direct reports This position will work on-site at our facility located in Warren, RI.
Relocation assistance is not officially being offered but available options may be discussed.
Remote work is not available for this role.
Candidate is a self-starter who can work independently in TPI's dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
This person participates in development activities using established scientific techniques to analyze data and create novel manufacturing procedures.
Working Experience in Computer Vision including but not limited to imaging and lens calibration using high resolution cameras and image processing as well as AI techniques including but not limited to Solid knowledge of deep learning methods utilizing neural networks, statistical analysis, and machine learning solutions are required for this role.
Background in computer programming using Python is essential for this position.
The role expands scope and responsibility for a candidate that embraces our agile culture and has the desire to learn and grow.
Essential Responsibilities oDevelop and lead diverse and global team of engineers in Computer Vision, Statistical Techniques, and AI-Based methodologies oPossess in-depth knowledge of a wide array of design and development techniques including Computer-aided Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
oAs the leader of a group, work to understand complex composite manufacturing practices and rapidly generate practical, actionable solutions to problems.
oUse sound analytical practices to collect data and translate that data into objective, informed engineering decisions, design inputs, and eventually design outputs.
oBe able to work independently with a wide degree of latitude in day-to-day activities.
oContribute to the brainstorming process & generate value-added intellectual property.

oArtificial Intelligence and Computer Vision by utilizing ML, DL, and image processing oFinite Element Analysis for modeling composite manufacturing processes using ABAQUS oDesign of Experiments, Data collection and analysis oComputer Programming using Python o Proficient on CAD modeling using Catia, AutoCAD, etc.
o Solid written and oral communications skills o Experience managing schedule/timelines Experience oCombination of 4
years of Research and Development experience oExperience in product development roles with growing responsibilities is preferred oProcess oriented, organized, ability to prioritize and detail oriented Education oMaster of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field oPhD is preferredTravel:
